Animator / Animation Director

My first job in the video game industry was as an animator on Road Rash for the 3DO. It was a brand new, unreleased console at the time so the team was working to figure out how to create what was needed for the worlds first CD based game system. I eneded up drawing a ton of biker animations but we then transitioned to taking photos of actual bikers in the poses and then blending them together to create the animation.

I was then promoted to Animation Director and proceeded to work on a Peter Pan story-telling game that was never released.

Finally, I transitioned to working on NHL 3DO. I decided the best way to create these animations was in 3D. I had never worked in 3D before, nor had anyone else at Electronic Arts. So, I read through the manuals and learned how the animation process worked on my own. We purchased a 3D model and I rigged it to do what I needed it to do. After creating hundreds of animations, the project was eventually scrapped.
